Sex education is an important foundation of healthy relationships and sexuality often forms a key aspect of identity.
WORKSHOPS & CLASSES
I offer topic-based interactive workshops and sex education classes for adults, adolescents, and children. Past topics include consent, sexually transmitted infections, boundaries / personal space, identifying and navigating desire in relationships, and communication. I present accurate, inclusive information about sex and facilitate age-appropriate activities to encourage reflection and discussion related to sexuality and relationships.
These workshops can support further professional development for clinicians, counselors, and others who work with clients. Workshops can additionally be offered by organizations or individuals to groups of families, adolescents, and parents to further support sexual health and well being.
Individual sessions
Whether in conjunction with psychotherapy or as single-session consultations, I use my experience and knowledge as a sex educator to work with clients to address concerns and questions related to sexuality, intimacy, and sexual functioning through a combination of gathering information, clarifying concerns, providing education and suggestions, and offering targeted referrals for concerns requiring further care. I am not a healthcare provider and cannot provide diagnosis of medical conditions outside the scope of my work as a LMFT.
Background
As the training coordinator for San Francisco Sex Information, I have supported individuals in the health and human services fields in building the skills needed to strengthen their work as sex educators. I have developed curriculum and taught school-based sex education to students in elementary, middle, and high school, and at LaSalle.
